Our Core Values
We are Christian.
- Lifewater International's motives, methodologies, and measures of success are shaped by its Christian identity.
We believe in the inherent dignity and worth of all people.
- Understanding that all people are created in God’s image and endowed with God-given gifts, Lifewater strives to treat all people with dignity and respect.
We are committed to the poor through holistic ministry.
- Believing that the gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to bring wholeness to all aspects of life--spiritual, physical, emotional, and social--we work alongside the poor to understand and respond to the complex, systemic causes of poverty.
We practice partnership.
- Recognizing that we cannot alleviate poverty alone, we work in partnership to bring about lasting improvements to people’s health and well-being. We believe that partnership reflects the biblical call to work together in unity.
We are committed to good stewardship.
- We recognize that our resources are entrusted to us to benefit the poor. We strive to use them wisely and maintain external accountability.
