Bringing Hope Home this Christmas:
From the Director’s Desk
There
is something powerful about helping communities obtain
safe water. There is something precious about walking
alongside them as they learn to keep water safe through
good hygiene and effective sanitation. The work changes
people. It changes families. While the statistics
can seem overwhelming—1.1 billion people in
this world need safe water and 2.6 billion lack adequate
sanitation—doing something about them brings
hope home.
In this newsletter,
our calendar year summary of activities describes how Lifewater
is helping people around the world to bring hope home by
improving the water, hygiene, and sanitation conditions
of their communities. Additional photos and stories share
the hopes and joys of people working toward safe water
either for themselves or for others. May these articles
and images encourage you to bring hope home this Christmas
by joining in working toward a world where all people have
safe water, improved health, and the knowledge of Jesus’ love.
