Lifewater’s volunteer field trainers help Lifewater train its in-country partner organizations
in water development, sanitation, and hygiene education. This course is an important step
in the field trainer certification process, introducing applicants to Lifewater’s mission and explaining Lifewater’s emphasis on spiritual and physical transformation, participatory learning, and community-led development. Exploring Transformational Mission (ETM) offers biblical perspectives on development, explains disease transmission and blocking, and introduces key components of Lifewater’s project cycle and participatory methodology. The course is successful when participants recognize the efficacy of participatory approaches, value cultural sensitivity, and appreciate the Bible’s relevance to community development.

This is the entry level course for Lifewater’s volunteer field trainers program and is offered only to field trainers and applicants.
