Campaigns

Water Bill Match
Match your monthly water bill with a donation to Lifewater, and challenge your business or church to do the same. Bill matching helps you become more aware of your water use and contribute to helping provide water for families in need. Water Bill Match can be done for a single month, several months, or perpetually.
Where Would You Go?
Display our attention-grabbing, life-sized posters to raise awareness of our world’s
need for sanitation! The posters are ideal for churches, schools, community centers, and other public venues. Run the “Potty Papers” campaign (below) simultaneously with the display.
Safe Water Donation
Place empty water jugs as collection recepticles near a coffee pot, water cooler, or vending machine to remind people that safe beverages are a blessing and encourage them to share with those in need.
Potty Papers
Stick “Potty Papers”—note-sized papers with information about the water & sanitation crisis—on bathroom stalls in your church, school, or public restrooms. Affix a sign on the bathroom mirror encouraging donations to Lifewater’s sanitation program and indicating where money is being collected.
Significant Sacrifice
During the forty days before Easter, encourage your family, friends, or church to remember Christ’s sacrifice by refraining from an activity or luxury (such as watching movies or coffee) and donating money saved to Lifewater.
Alternative Gifts
Celebrate special occasions by donating to Lifewater in the name of the person you want to honor. When you make a donation, Lifewater will send a card to your designated recipient recognizing the gift given on their behalf.
H20 Challenge
Challenge your office, class, or congregation to give up all beverages except water at work, home, or both for two weeks, and donate the money saved to provide safe water for others. The H2O Challenge is a campaign run by the H20 Project benefiting several organizations, so be sure to designate your funds to Lifewater.
1000 Wells
Challenge your office, class, or congregation to give up all beverages except water at work, home, or both and donate the money saved to provide safe water for others. Similar to the H2O Challenge, the 1000 Wells project is run by Blood:Water Mission, Lifewater’s partner for several major projects in Africa.
Events

Water Walk
Organize a water awareness walk for your school, church, or community. Sign up
as many individuals as possible to carry a designated about of water over a certain distance, then continue at the finish line with water awareness games, displays, music, etc.
Will Work for Water
Encourage coworkers to donate a day of work to help Lifewater offer safe water
and sanitation around the world. For example, a dentist’s office recently booked a
day it would have otherwise been closed then donated that day’s income to Lifewater. As an alternative, student groups can help people move, clean, do yard work, etc., then donate the proceeds.
