Thank You for Bringing Safe Water to Uganda!

The results are in...In light of a great need and opportunity in Uganda, Divine Waters is fully equipped to bring Christ-centered A total of 163 communities in the sub-counties of Ogur and Abako are in desperate need of safe water. As it obtains funding, DWU is establishing a safe water system in each community and training local water committees in user fee collection, well maintenance, and well repair. It also trains teachers, local health promoters, and local government workers in sanitation and hygiene education so that these leaders can train their people. With the $130,000 of funds raised by July 15, DWU can break ground on twenty-six wells, bringing safe water in the name of Christ to over 13,000 people. Board members & several generous donors matched gifts made by July 15! Please consider continuing to fund additional wells by signing up for a monthly donation, as there will still remain 137 communities in the sub-counties of Ogur and Abako in crucial need of safe water. Your gift will be employed immediately as each $5,500 raised brings a well to a community of 500 men, women, children, and their livestock and farms. |
