Lifewater: Lifewater has been working in Uganda for over fifteen years. Lifewater’s national partners have become experts in water development. Lifewater sent three teams to equip and train national partners in 2006. These partners drilled 42 wells, repaired 17 broken hand pumps, constructed 55 biosand filters, and trained more than 1,000 villagers in community health through hygiene. A total of 38 nationals were equipped as hygiene trainers. As a result, over 60,000 people received clean water.
