Executive
Director: Dan Stevens
Before becoming the Executive
Director of Lifewater in 2002, Dan Stevens served as
the Senior Pastor at Eastminster Presbyterian Church
in Ventura, California, for twenty-six years. Ten years
prior to joining Lifewater, Dan founded IMPACT, a short-term
missions training program affiliated with the Santa Barbara
Presbytery. Through his involvement with IMPACT, as well
as other cross-cultural ventures, he has gained a wealth
of knowledge and personal experience in forming transnational
partnerships and working with the poor. Dan holds a Master
of Divinity from Princeton Seminary and a Bachelor of
Science degree from Pepperdine University. |

Vice President of Programs: Sam
Moore
Sam Moore has worked in international
development for the last twelve years. He began his career
as a development practitioner in the highlands of Guatemala
working to promote appropriate technologies in indigenous
communities. During his five years in Central America,
he helped coordinate projects in low-cost sanitation, fuel-efficient
cook stoves, rain water catchments, and water well drilling.
Sam completed a Master’s degree in Intercultural
Studies with a concentration in international development
at Fuller Seminary. In January 2005, Sam joined Lifewater
International to head up Lifewater’s new Sanitation
Program. Sam also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering
from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. |

Director
of Projects: Patricia Klever
Pat began serving
with Lifewater in 1990 as a volunteer after learning
about Lifewater through a professional journal article.
She says,"Finding Lifewater was an answer to prayer:
a faith-based organization where I can use my God given
gifts, professional skills and experience to help people
in need.” Pat joined the Project Department as
a full-time staff member in 1999, and has focused on
East African countries. Pat studied geology and
received her B.S. from Montana State University, and
studied watershed management and international development
during her M.S. from the University of Montana.

Director of Development
and Communications: Erin Roberts
Erin
Roberts came to Lifewater International with 8 years of
experience in marketing and sales from Ford Motor Company
and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Her positions within
these companies encompassed a wide variety of activities,
including event planning, client management, advertising & marketing
campaigns, and business management consultation. Most
recently Erin returned from a 14-month around the world
trip with her husband and Hydrogeologist, Shawn. During
their trip they were blessed to visit over 35 countries.
Erin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations
from Purdue University. |

Director
of Finance & Administration:
Susan Schmidt
Susan joined Lifewater in February
2007. She has
over 20 years experience in the areas of accounting,
finance and human resources and has held positions in
large corporations as well as small family-owned businesses. Prior
to joining Lifewater, Susan was most recently employed
as an independent consultant after serving five years
as the Chief Financial Officer for Advanced Photonix,
Inc. She states, “I began to hear about Lifewater
after relocating to the San Luis Obispo area and was
immediately moved by the mission and vision of the organization. I
am so grateful to have been given this opportunity to
be part of a group which truly seeks to make a difference
in this world.” Susan holds a Bachelor
of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting
from California State University, San Bernardino.
