NFL Titans Quarterback Ryan Tannehill Turns Cleats into Safe Water

For the third year, Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill will auction off a pair of custom-designed cleats with the Lifewater logo emblazoned on the side.

Tannehill is part of a player-led NFL campaign called “My Cause My Cleats,” where players choose a cause to support. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of their cleats go towards the charity of their choice.

For three years, Tannehill has chosen to support clean water for all through Lifewater.

“We’ve seen hundreds if not thousands of lives changed by providing them clean water sources and providing the education to keep the water clean,” Tannehill said when asked why he chose Lifewater as his cause.

“My Cause My Cleats” began in 2016 to bring awareness to charitable causes close to the hearts of NFL players. This year over 1,000 players, a record-breaking number, are participating.

Throughout December, the NFL will highlight players, their causes, and their one-of-a-kind cleats through television spots and features.

You’ll find Tannehill on platforms like Twitter, explaining his choice of Lifewater and spreading the word about the water crisis.

“Our players are passionate supporters of many charitable causes and serve as changemakers in their communities,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “We are excited to… work with our players to expand this unique platform.”

At Lifewater, we are thankful for visionary partners like Ryan Tannehill, the Titans, and the NFL. They help raise awareness about the global water and sanitation crisis and provide remote communities with safe water, health education, and hope for the future.

Lifewater International is a Christian non-profit organization working to end the global water and sanitation crisis. For over 40 years, Lifewater has served more than 2.5 million people in 40+ countries.
