Shallow Well Drilling

Where ground water is located within 200 feet of the ground surface, Lifewater trains community leaders on all aspects of shallow well drilling, including:

• locating the drilling site
• equipment operation and maintenance
• logging the borehole
• setting the hand pump with a sanitary seal
• well disinfection

As a part of programs, Lifewater provides drilling equipment to qualified communities and provides ongoing trainings so they become experts in the field.
