Titans QB Ryan Tannehill Represents Lifewater for NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats”

Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is representing Lifewater International alongside the Equal Justice Initiative for the NFL’s 2020 “My Cause My Cleats” campaign.

My Cause My Cleats began in 2016 to bring awareness to charitable causes close to the hearts of NFL players. This year over 1,000 players, a record-breaking number, are participating. And Tannehill is representing clean water for all.

Throughout December, the NFL will highlight players, their causes, and their one-of-a-kind cleats through television spots and features.

Tannehill explains why he’s representing Lifewater International

This year marks the second time the pro football player has chosen Lifewater for the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign. While playing for the Miami Dolphins in 2018, Tannehill wore his Lifewater emblazoned cleats in a matchup against New England, an instant classic dubbed “The Miami Miracle.”

“We’re thrilled that Ryan’s chosen Lifewater for the second year and inspired by his heart for children in need of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene,” Lifewater CEO David LeVan said. “We are grateful for Ryan’s advocacy in bringing awareness to this life-saving cause.”

My Cause My Cleats players have the opportunity to include their cleats in an auction. All proceeds will be donated to charities of each player’s choosing.

“Season after season I am inspired by the growing number of NFL players that participate in My Cause My Cleats and the causes they represent,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said. “Each player has a story to tell and we are grateful for the impact they make in the communities in which they live and work, and society in general.”

Lifewater International is a Christian non-profit organization working to end the global water and sanitation crisis. For over 40 years, Lifewater has served more than 2.5 million people in 40+ countries.
